Help celebrate Sitka's RWJF Culture of Health Award with two December events

The Sitka Health Summit Coalition will host a celebratory dinner in recognition of Sitka being recognized as a 2019 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Culture of Health Award recipient.

The free public event will go from 6-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Sheet'ká Kwáan Naa Kahídi. Dinner will be provided to the first 120 in attendance and the door prize is a pair of bicycles. Please RSVP to the dinner by contacting Chandler O'Connell by Monday, Dec. 9, at chandler@sitkawild.org or calling 747-7509.

On Friday Dec. 13, the public is invited to a brown-bag lunch-and-learn event, followed by a planning session to brainstorm ways for spending the $25,000 cash prize. The lunch and learn goes from noon to 1 p.m. and features speaker Kalpana Ramiah, who is the Vice President of Innovations from America's Essential Hospitals. The planning session is from 1-4:30 p.m. Both events will be in Room 229 at the University of Alaska Southeast Sitka Campus.
